WATERPROOFING & ELASTOMERIC COATINGS
At RCI, we specialize in waterproofing and elastomeric coatings on solid body decks, entry landings and other raised, solid surfaces. It is critical in our damp climate to protect these surfaces properly, in order to prevent water damage to the exterior and interior of your building. Waterproofing and coating is an investment in durability, and allows for much lower maintenance costs over time.

ENVELOPE & RE-CLAD RENOVATIONS
Envelope and Re-Clad renovations are often driven by damage to a building’s exterior. We at RCI are able to assess and determine the damage- whether it is small areas of rot, or systemic damage that occurs in multiple areas of a building’s exterior. We offer smaller-scale envelope services in areas with minor damage, such as replacing siding (re-clad) on one elevation of a building. Our envelope services include replacing windows or other exterior components, and major renovations such as reframing and cladding of an entire multi-family community.
PRODUCT RESOURCES James Hardie and Azek fiber cement siding and trim. These composite products look like wood grain siding and trim, with the strength of rebar and concrete. They are life-proof and durable in our PNW wet environment.
SIDING REPAIRS & IMPROVEMENTS
What if damage to your building’s shell is minor? RCI offers minor siding repair services as small as replacing one piece of siding, trim or flashing. Siding repairs and improvements can include upgrading weather barriers with Vycor® self adhere membranes (SAM), beneath the siding and flashing around windows and exterior doors, to protect and prevent damage.
DECK & RAILING RENOVATIONS
Our crew members are experts in the art of deck and railing renovations, having repaired or rebuilt thousands for our multi-family customers. From all kinds of face-through decking and solid-surface decking with elastomeric coating, to installing railing systems throughout an entire, multi-level community. We work on these projects year-round, even in the winter when your deck is not in use.
PRODUCT RESOURCES Our deck and railing products are durable, secure and attractive. We offer a wide range of products and materials for decking including composite decking and railing from Azek and Trex. These products offer lifetime durability.
Western ClearView Railing Systems manufactures the aluminum railing systems used throughout most of our multi-family communities. They offer strength and security, with powder-coated finish making them 50X more durable that other coatings.
WINDOW & DOOR REPLACEMENT
Windows and doors are vital building components, and it is crucial that they are expertly installed. Every year, we replace thousands of windows in multi-family living communities, from installing dozens of windows at one time, to providing one replacement for a single unit. When a resident has a leaking window or door, we will come out and diagnose the issue, offer temporary repair of the leak, and provide a bid for replacement. Unlike larger multi-family contractors, we are able to provide services on smaller jobs and offer personalized service to our residents.

STRUCTURAL & DRY ROT REPAIRS
When there is water intrusion in a building’s structure, it is important to diagnose the failing component. In the Pacific Northwest, we are often faced with water intrusion because of our wet climate; his can cause buildings to settle and effect the framing structure. This along with defective materials and material failure can all lead to water intrusion, which can require dry rot and structural repairs. Depending on the severity of the damage, repairs can be small (siding repairs) or large, and RCI does it all.
ROOF REPLACEMENT
Has your roof reached its life expectancy? Waiting to replace your roof until there is a problem can cause damage beyond the cost of a new roof. Our water leak investigation team can determine if your roof needs repair or replacement from either material expiration or environmental damage from wind and weather. We offer full or partial roof replacements, as well as repairs.

EXTERIOR PAINT
In the Pacific Northwest, it’s important to keep your building’s exterior properly coated to protect from moisture and other elements. At RCI, we offer full exterior painting, from the building’s shell, to railings, decks, doors and more. On all projects, we thoroughly prep all surfaces prior to coating (pressure washing and priming) to insure proper adhesion and to protect exterior surfaces on all projects.
An exterior re-paint is a great way to update and refresh the exterior of your building.
PRODUCT RESOURCES We primarily use Sherwin Williams Paint for premium quality at an excellent price point. We also offer paint by request from Benjamin Moore.
